what happens when you exchange photos with a total stranger and edit them (interesting art shit I started doing as a post-college semi-artist)

Okay, so here's an interesting art idea

So I met this person on Tinder (no shade)

His profile has this....unique artistic vibe- a slightly sarcastic, dead look on his face that I thought is just so..ummmm.. funny

So he's from London and he's back in London now (not that matters)

And of course he does art (a little bit)

So I was like

Do you wanna play a game and make some crazy art shit?

He's like

Okay

Then I was like

We should exchange photos and edit them

like you edit it and send it to me then I edit it and send it to you again then you edit it....

He's like

Okay

When two strangers this happened:
original
his edit
my edit- after 2 edits by 2 artists
what he sent me
my 1st edit- got criticized this is too boring

my second edit

hmmmm

I'll keep this blog updated

my life after lawrence

Hello my old friends:

I have left college for exactly two months now.
First, I traveled around the US after graduation- I visited Chicago, NYC, Salt Lake City, Yellowstone National Park and Los Angeles.
Then I came back home to China, spent the first 1 week and a half focusing on meeting friends and family.
Then I started applying for jobs: I was lucky to get my first interview opportunity only 2 days after I sent them my resume; then I did two more interviews in Shanghai, these were the only three companies I applied to and had interviews with.
Then, I got offered a position at the first company, pretty much right after I had the interview, and I decided to give it a try. Everything happened in just one month.

Now I am in Beijing, living alone again, away from home, but this time also away from my friends.

Back to the the starting point, a brand new life.

It has been 4 days since I moved and started working. There are 4 realizations I have:

1. You don't do things you learned, you learn things from doing.
2. Except for the ones that read your resume, nobody actually cares to know you. Nor would they care to know how interesting your personality is unless it's a designated social occasion. Because everyone is interesting and talented outside of work.
3. I am too young. I don't make money, I make a living and survive. If I started off living like I had years of money saved up I'd never make any money. Investing? I am already investing by eating my money away every day.

4. I am a Gender Studies and Studio Art major. yet they will never hire me for that.
My use is to do English related work, obviously, as a returned international student.
The girl who sits next to me is new too, she is now working her head off learning how to edit, while I just envy her so much.

I always imagined that my job will be something I am passionate about, somewhere I can create and shine. But, no. That is a big goal that will likely take me years to achieve. See you then, in 5 years.

a poem

You wake up in the morning 9 am, a piece of lonely cloud above your eyes you think it's telling you not to look at her You get up,...
