Magnify Me

my album here 👈

One magical thing about using my phone to take pictures is that I can magnify what I see. It is like a magnifying glass, sometimes more like a telescope. I don't know how it works like that, but being able to capture details, texture, and framing things randomly to get a surprising result, is fun!

I grew up living in a couple of apartments of some compacted neighborhood, and I just loved to see how the buildings from far away turned bigger and bigger as I backed off from my window. It was a wonderful experience for me, but also confusing, because I knew windows don't magnify stuff. It was all about framing!

We are overwhelmingly surrounded by all kinds of textures and patterns, small things that we do not usually lay eyes on. We are actually fooled by the illusion of space! Imagine what the wall would look like if we were cockroaches.

These photos are not super HD, because of the magnification. It would be so much cooler if they were more detailed--like a microscope.

"The instantaneous world of electric informational media involves all of us, all at one. No detachment or frame is impossible." --McLuhan
